During the 2015-16 school year, the district introduced both a Facebook page and Twitter account to improve the availability and timeliness of district information for students, parents and all community members.
“Our social media presence has expanded greatly during the 2015-16 year and we are thrilled to be launching a campaign to engage even more members of our community in the year to come,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Edward R. Fuhrman, Jr. “The Connect with Croton! campaign will not only enhance the ways the Croton-Harmon Schools share information, but seek input as to what our followers want to see and hear from us on a day-to- day basis.”
In addition to utilizing Facebook and Twitter to share pertinent information related to school events and emergencies, over the coming months, "Connect with Croton!" outreach will encourage members of the community to provide feedback about the district’s use of social media and participate in fun contests using timely hashtags on Twitter.
Students will also be actively involved in the campaign, which ties in with the district focus on digital citizenship.
